Zane Peter Gardulski Jr.

May 29, 1948–January 21, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zane Peter Gardulski Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on January 21, 2025, at 76. Born on May 29, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Zane made Colorado his home in 1980, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and passion.

Zane shared nearly 46 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Pauline, whom he married on November 23, 1979. She was the love of his life, his steadfast partner, and his greatest support. Together, they built a life filled with memories and unwavering commitment.

Zane proudly dedicated 35-plus years to driving a car hauler and serving as a respected business agent for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 961. Known for his integrity and tireless work ethic, he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the workers he represented.

A lifelong car lover, Zane found joy and purpose at the racetrack. Racing and rebuilding engines were his passions, and Bandimere Speedway became his second home. There, he not only developed his skills but also built lifelong friendships within the racing community, all while sharing his vast knowledge and love for the sport.

While Zane was reserved for much of his life, his heart softened and opened when his grandchildren entered his world. They brought out a newfound light in him, becoming his greatest pride and joy, he loved them with all his heart. Zane was a loving grandfather to Terry (Jamie), Tommy (Amy), Jadyn, Tyson, Masyn, Jaxon, and Brantley. He was proud to gain Christie, Mya, Anthony, and little Anthony when his son Zane married Natilie. He also welcomed several great-grandchildren, including Marie, Julia, Terry, Laurissa, Ariah, Donavin, and Eddisin.

Zane is survived by his wife, Pauline; his children, Kimberly, Zane III (Natilie), Stephen, Stephanie, and Danny; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his brother, David (Ruth); and countless other loved ones who will forever cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen Louise and Zane Gardulski Sr.; his infant son, Darren Vincent Gardulski; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Per Zane’s wishes, there will be no formal celebration of life. His family will honor his memory privately, celebrating the lasting impact he had on their lives.

Zane will always be remembered for his grit, passion for racing, and the profound love he developed for his family, especially his grandchildren, in his later years. His legacy is carried forward by those whose lives he touched and by the memories he created with his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Zane. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished by your wife, your children, your grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know you.
