William Womack Jr

William Carey Womack, Jr., 62, died August 4, 2020 surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born May 12, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the son of William Carey Womack and Barbara Annette Proctor. William worked for the Tennessean Newspaper for 32 years before his recent retirement. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father William and his beloved wife Laura. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Annette Proctor of Fairview. His sons, William Brent Womack Sr. and Michael Brandon Womack of Old Hickory. Grandchildren, Tyler Gage Womack, Caleb Michael Womack, Logan Riley Womack, William Brent Womack, Jr., Aubrey Nicole Womack, Mikaya Faith Womack, and Marshall Fowler Womack of Old Hickory. His sisters, Caren Zysk of Austin, TX, Denise McCord and husband Richard of Fairview, TN, and Robin Faulk and husband Joe of La Vergne, TN, brother, Sean Womack and wife Sara of Marietta, GA. His uncle, Bruce Womack of Atlanta, GA, his uncle David Bailey and his wife Nancy of Franklin, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like thank Dr. Rachel Kingree and the staff of Summit Hospital as well as the staff at Alive Hospice the for the compassion and care they provided.
