William Charles Jensen

William (Bill) Jensen was born in Billings, Montana in October 1936 to Lloyd and Cleo Jensen. The oldest of three siblings, he attended East High School in Denver. He received an AB in English from Cornell University in 1959 and a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Denver in 1961. Upon graduation he joined the firm of Ireland Stapleton, where he became a partner and began a long and successful career as a commercial real estate and public finance attorney in Denver. In 1982 he co-founded Jensen, Byrne, Parsons & Ruh. In 1993 he became a partner with Moye White where he practiced until 2015. He was nationally recognized as a real estate lawyer and served on a number of community boards and commissions. He died peacefully at the Aspen Siesta nursing home after a long battle with dementia. Bill loved the outdoors, fishing and the Broncos and was devoted to his family. He is survived by his long-time companion Christine (Chris) Sperry, his sister Kirstin, his two sons Eric and Kirk and their spouses Tibi and Kate, four grandchildren - Cassidy, Samantha, Annika and Zoe - and many nieces and nephews. His brother Philip predeceased him. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 1pm on February 24, 2018 at The Denver Botanic Gardens.
