William Engels

Bill was born on November 20, 1929 to Daniel and Inger Engels in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was raised on farms along with his sister, Helen. After college, he entered the Air Force. Early in his career he met his first wife, Carol, and had two sons William and Robert. Carol passed away in 1978. Bill remarried and became a father again to his daughter Erica. Bill retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service in October 1982. Bill enjoyed spending time with both his immediate family and extended family. He especially enjoyed family time at the cabin in Grand Lake, as well as fishing, camping, and traveling throughout Colorado and nearby states. He enjoyed the yearly hunting trips with his brother-in-law Bob and nephews-in-law, Jim, John, Brian, and Russ and his fishing trips with his son-in-law, Eric. He enjoyed the walks with his friends Lamar and Dave. Everyone loved Bill and his calm and friendly demeanor. He was the most wonderful husband and father. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
