William Anstrand, Sr.

William Richard Anstrand, Sr. of Castle Rock, CO passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015, surrounded by loved ones at the Medical Center of Aurora, in Aurora, Colorado. Originally from Oak Park, IL, Bill leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Cheri, his four children Bill Jr. (Jana) Anstrand, Anne (Pete) Anastopoulos, Kat Anstrand and Jim(Clare) Anstrand. He is also survived by his 8 grandkids, Kassie, Jim, Tyler, Ellie, Thomas, Luke, Josh and Bridget and his dear cousins.

In recent years Twinkie was often seen driving his golf cart around with Sassy (horse) and Jasper (donkey) looking for treats. In addition to his years of serving and protecting as a police officer to the fine people of River Forest, Illinois, he also served his country in the US Air Force (NCO). He loved Da Bears, the Cubs, the Blackhawks, Krakus ham, Chicago food, peanut butter, asking you to pull his finger, Lionel trains and guns.

Friends and family will be gathering to celebrate his life at The Carleton Hotel, 1110 Pleasant St., Oak Park, IL 60302, Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, 5:30-9:00 pm.
