Virginia Hill

September 16, 1926 — December 18, 2018

Virginia Lee Hill (Ginny), 92, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at her Lakewood, Colorado, Assisted Living Facility. She passed peacefully from complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

Ginny was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, on September 16, 1926, the daughter of Otis and Sally Eubanks Bascomb. In November 1945, she married Robert I. Hill, also of Mount Vernon. Bob and Ginny had four children: Judy Hill Ollis, San Clemente, California; Roberta Jo Hill Bates, Albuquerque, New Mexico (Deceased); Paulette Sue Hill Jagoe, Lakewood, Colorado; and Chuck Hill, Tucson, Arizona (Deceased). They lived and worked in Mt. Vernon until May of 1967.

In 1967, Bob and Ginny moved from Mt Vernon to Los Alamos, New Mexico where Bob worked for the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Ginny went to work as a teacher's assistant in the Los Alamos school system. Ginny very much enjoyed homemaking, her work at the school, making professional- grade wedding cakes, and camping. Her fondest times were those spent with the many friends she made on their many camping adventures. Both retired in 1987 and built their retirement home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico near Albuquerque. Bob died in 1995, just two days shy of he and Ginny's 50th wedding anniversary.

In 2011, Ginny moved to Lakewood, Colorado to be near her daughter, Paulette.

Ginny is survived by daughters Judy and Paulette, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Ginny's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
