Vicki Dianne Strup Cotsworth was born in Kansas City, MO on February 25, 1949. She died February 28, 2020 in Parker, CO just after her 71st birthday.
The oldest of four children, Vicki always exhibited a compassionate nature and sympathetic personality. Her passion for helping and caring for others followed her throughout her youth and prompted her to attend the Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing in Hanover, NH (on the Dartmouth campus), where she studied to become a Registered Nurse.
It was here that she met her husband of 38 years. after graduation in 1971, the two moved to California where they raised two daughters and became enthusiastically engaged in the world of vintage Auto Racing.
They later moved to Colorado where they became involved with horses and supporting their daughters in the world of Horse Showing. They eventually ended up with their own little farm with three horses, five dogs and one cat, where Vicki enjoyed caring for all the animals.
Her two daughters gave her a total of three grandchildren that she absolutely adored. She was a devoted Grandmother, enjoying spending as much time as possible helping care for them.
She became ill with Progressive Supra Nuclear Paulsey shortly after her youngest grandson was born. Fortunately, she was able to live the next seven years in the same home as her two daughters, her son-in-law, her two granddaughters, and her grandson in Parker, Co. Her children cared for her as best they could until she passed away with her eldest daughter by her side.
She is fondly remembered by her siblings Dan Strup, Becky Rollinson, and Janet McVay; her ex-husband Michael Cotsworth; her daughter Christen Vanmeter and her husband Chris, together with their two daughters Skyler and Hunter; and her youngest daughter Cyndi Cotsworth and her son Cory.
Services will be postponed until after the worldwide Pandemic subsides and the quarantines are lifted. Then we can all come together and celebrate the life of a woman who touched many peoples' lives and whose memory will be cherished in the hearts of anyone honored enough to know her.
