The lord called Veronica home on March 11, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Florencio and Maryann Valencia; sister, Genevieve Valencia brother, Percy Valencia and niece, Ernestine Valencia. She is survived by her son, Michael Cheshire and daughters Jolene Quintana and Cristina and husband Jaime Rascon. Grandchildren: Ezekial, Marissa, Kristen, little Jaime, Sebastian and Xiomara. Brother, Leroy Valencia, and sisters Lupe Lujan, Berna Salas, Inez Quintana, and Tina Baca. Special friends Charlie Lucero and Dianna Moon, and many nieces and nephews.
In her younger days, Veronica pursued higher education at Eastern NM University. Together with her then husband, she owned and operated a business in Clovis, NM. Veronica has a creative and artistic ability.
She absolutely adored and loved her grandchildren. She loved being around them and her children.
A memorial mass will be on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the church in Colonias NM, burial and memorial lunch will follow.
