Veronica Marcec

Veronica "Tina" ( Natonek ) Marcec , 89, joined the saints in Heaven on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 7, 1931, Tina was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Natonek . She met her loving spouse, Jerome on a blind date and celebrated 6 1 happy years of marriage with him . Tina lived in Belvidere, Illinois for over 50 years before moving to Hermitage, Tennessee, where she was a resident at Charter Senior Living since 2015. Tina was preceded in death by her husband , Jerome in 2012 . She was the loving mother of Jerry (Wendy) of Tennessee ; Evelyn (Bob) of Colorado ; Michael (Kathy) of Michigan; Joseph (Janet) of Virginia ; George (Melanie) of Kansas ; and Raymond of Illinois . She was the very proud grandmother of 14 , the great-grandmother of 10, and the great-great grandmother of 1 . Tina's family was her greatest joy , and she loved visiting them , talking with them and sharing special times with them . Always smiling, Tina enjoyed every day of her life. Up until shortly before her death , she walked a few miles each day. Her garden was a beautiful showcase. Her Polish cooking was a special treat for her family and friends . On quiet days, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and books, especially the Bible and spiritual reading . Tina's faith was very important to her. She was a long-time member of St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, and more recently was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory, Tennessee. There will be a funeral Mass to celebrate Tina's life at St. Stephen Catholic Community at 10 AM on January 20 , 2021. The Mass will be live-streamed on the St. Stephen Catholic Community Facebook page. There will be no visitation.
