Verona Clair DeMore Ross left us on April 20, 2018. She had a full and busy life with many adventures. Born in 1923 in Duluth, Minnesota, she was the youngest of 4 with two older brothers and a sister. After meeting her future husband, Hugh S. Ross, a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, she married him in 1945 after WWII. Together they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and had three daughters, Pamela (Klaus), Joan (Ronald) and Kathryn. In 1957 the family was headed to Albuquerque but when they saw the beauty of Denver, they stayed. During her years in Denver she was an executive secretary at Loretta Heights, and after a move to Loveland, Colorado she continued her career as an executive secretary at Loveland High school. Verona moved to St. Mary's Glacier in 1978 followed by a move to Golden in 1987. Verona loved Colorado and especially the Denver Broncos. A skilled seamstress, she sewed most of the dresses for her three girls through the years. She has six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Verona, a loving wife, our sweet mother, and generous grandmother is at peace.
