Vance Fredrick Ehrle was born August 10, 1927 and passed from this life to the next on January 19, 2020 at the age of 92. His final days were spent in the loving care of his family. He was the eldest of 5 brothers who were children of Fred and Margaret Ehrle of Belfield, North Dakota.
Vance served in the Marines in WWII. He was working as a surveyor in North Dakota when he met and married his beloved wife of 64 years, Marlene, who predeceased him in 2016. Vance worked for Mobil Oil (now ExxonMobil) for many years and transferred to such locations as Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Alaska and Oklahoma before retiring in the Denver area. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and the family vacationed often in Yellowstone and the Tetons while living in Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis, and is survived by daughters, Rona Erickson and Keri Ehrle and son, Mark Ehrle, son-in-law Joel Erickson, granddaughter Kalen Moreo, grandson-in-law, Joseph Moreo and great-grandsons Micah and Levi; brothers John Ehrle; James Ehrle; Duane Ehrle; and sister-in-law Rita Ehrle (wife of Duane), nieces Sandra and Lori (daughters of John), nephews Keith and Kent (sons of James), nieces Linda, Mary Beth and Emma (daughters of Duane and Rita).
Vance was an accomplished woodworker as well as being a "handy dad" who could fix almost anything. He will be remembered for his soft voice and gentle manner. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
