Valorie Hulet Kacherian, born March 3, 1950, in Preston, Idaho, to Nada and Leonard Hulet, passed away peacefully after a difficult battle with cancer. Valorie is survived by her siblings, Larry Hulet, Vicky Pastuszak, Deborah Pustari, Robert Pustari, and Richard (Rit) Pustari; a number of nieces and nephews; daughters, Amber Kacherian and Kerry Ashby; her son-in-law, Thomas (Scott) Ashby; and her beloved grandson, Pierce Ashby.

Valorie’s life was a testament to her boundless passion for animals and her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place, one animal at a time. For 17 years, she devoted her time and energy as a volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society, where she was known for her tireless work in saving and caring for animals in need. She had a special place in her heart for elderly and special needs dogs and cats, adopting many who had nowhere else to turn.

In addition to her compassion for animals, Valorie was an avid Disney lover, and her enthusiasm for Disney’s magic was a source of joy for her and those around her.

Valorie’s legacy will live on through her family and all those she touched through her selfless acts of kindness. A small family-only service will be held at a future date in Preston, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Valorie’s name to Best Friends Animal Society, honoring her lifelong dedication to animal welfare.

Valorie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit of love and generosity will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those she left behind.
