Tony Leonard Pentland, beloved son, son-in-law, brother, father, and husband, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Denver Hospice after a two-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his sons, Nolan, Coleton and Landon; daughter, Railyn; and wife, Yvette.
Tony was born in Saint Maries, Idaho, where he also had a rich and meaningful childhood. Tony would reflect frequently and with passion, regarding his early years spent in Saint Maries with brothers, Rick and Ron as well as his uncle, Dave. All those that knew this foursome, knew them to live life to the fullest.
Tony entered into the Navy when he was 18 years of age, where he spent the next 24 years in serving in the Military. The time he spent with the Navy and his shipmates helped to make him into the wonderful friend, father and husband he came to be. His bearing was uncompromised in all that he did from being courteous, projecting enthusiasm, having confidence and a positive outlook right up until his passing. Truly honorable in spite of the pain he was enduring.
Tony had a true and unbridled passion for camping, dirt bike riding and playing his guitar. His family was fortunate to have been able to get out one last time this year so that he could sit around a campfire, reflect on our lives together and of course chastise the kids for driving the ATV's too fast... ????
His family feels that Tony was one of the most generous people they have ever met. Without any bias, he truly was such a kind and thoughtful man and will be dearly missed. The world has gotten just a little less bright with his passing.
