Timothy Paul Williams

December 2, 1945 — December 4, 2023

Denver

Timothy P. Williams, former inside-salesman at Charles D. Jones Co, died unexpectedly on 12/4/2023. He was born Dec 2, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in Caro, Michigan, as the second of 8 children. He loved the outdoors, and with 2 of his brothers and their collie Duke he spent dawn to dusk most summer days fishing in the Cass River just below the Caro dam and exploring the woods on the west side of town. In Tim, this evolved into a lifelong love of biking, camping, fishing, gardening, and caring for dogs and cats.

Following the death of his father in 1964, Tim moved to Detroit, where he lived with the family of a paternal aunt. While there, he attended and graduated from the Detroit City Barber College. After graduation, he joined the Navy, where he was trained as a Corpsman in Camp LeJeune and served with the Marine Corps as a medic in DaNang, Vietnam, from 1968 to 1969.

Following honorable discharge from the Navy, he moved to Denver, Colorado, where he began camera repair school. He interrupted that and began working for Empire Gas Co, and from there he moved over to Charles D. Jones Co. He worked at CD Jones until May 2021 and had numerous friends among the customers and fellow employees there. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4796, and a member and supporter of the St. Cajetan’s parish. In addition, he often supported and attended services at the St. Anthony of Padua church and Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

Despite numerous challenges throughout his life, Tim was a steady, friendly, and congenial man and a much-loved brother. We will miss his humor, sympathy for the troubles of others, and his indomitable spirit. May he rest in peace.

Memorial service and funeral Mass will be at St. Cajetan Catholic Church, on 299 S. Raleigh St, in Denver, on Thursday Feb 15 with a rosary at 10 AM, eulogy at 10:30, and funeral mass at 11 AM to noon. A luncheon will be held immediately following at a location to be announced.
