Timothy Martinez

Timothy Martin Martinez, age 63, was born in Denver, Colorado at St. Joseph's Hospital on 11/06/1957 and passed 05/08/2021 peacefully in his home.

Born to Josephine and Matthew Martinez, the was the youngest of 5 siblings (Patsy, Dolores, Roger, and Joseph). He lived in Denver (East Side) his whole life, and attended Swansea Elementary, Smiley Middle School, and graduated a year early from Kennedy Highschool. His love was baseball, he was a beast as a catcher for the Cowboys at Swansea Park and he played both football for Manuel and baseball for Kennedy. Timothy was also an altar boy for 7 years at Our Lady of Grace Church. He was literally a Jack-of-all-trades, and had numerous jobs in construction, building the Auraria Campus among other projects. He was a security guard at St. Joseph's hospital, a detox patient care aid for 12 years.

He marries Mona Baca on October 1st, 1983 and helped raise his stepson, Angelo Baca, and were married for 20 years. On March 3rd 1987, they brought their daughter, Felicia Martinez, into the world.

Later down the line, he had grandchildren, which were his entire world. His first Grandchild, Ariel Baca (Angelo's Daughter) shares a birthday with her grandfather, born 11/06/1997. In January 2007, he had his hita Nevaeh Martinez, the other love of his life, come into this world. In 2011, he had his baby boy Isaiah Martinez. On July 2, 2018 he had become a great-grandfather to Joseph Gonzales Jr.

Timothy was a great father, son, grandfather, husband, brother, and father-in-law, but he was a great friend. He had countless friends in which he shared SO MANY memories with, lots of good times, and TONS of laughs. He was an Incredible person to everyone he met and touched so many lives from his mischievous ways to that beautiful smile and contagious laugh. He will forever be remembered and remain in ALL of our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Josephine Martinez and is survived by his children Felicia Martinez (Timothy Elder), Angelo Baca, and grandchildren, Ariel Baca, Nevaeh Martinez, Isaiah Martinez, Ymari Cordero, and Joseph Gonzales Jr, siblings Patsy McFarland, Dolores Martinez, Roger Trujillo (Cora), Joseph Martinez (Lori).

Services will be held May 28th, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Church 2654 E. 48th Ave Denver, CO 80216. Rosary starts at 9:30AM (Be there by 9:15) and Mass will follow at 10AM with reception at Swansea park after.
