Thomas Mondragon

August 4, 1939 — October 8, 2013

Thomas E. Mondragon, 74, passed away Oct. 8, 2013 from COPD complications; born in Pueblo, CO Aug. 4, 1939 to Claude & Leta Mondragon who preceded him in death; he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Samuel M. Moore 747. He was a boxer while in the service and was the 1959 Light Heavyweight Champion of the Pacific 7th fleet. He worked several years in the plumbing industry for Crane & Bell Plumbing and worked maintenance in long term care before retiring. Tom is survived by his wife, Becky, his children, Michael, Robin Anthony Griego, his grandson, Christopher, and sisters, Claudia Jaramillo of Pueblo & Phyllis Ruegg of San Francisco & numerous nieces & Nephews. He loved fishing & reading & was a big Raiders fan. Services, Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, 1:00pm, Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. private burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
