Theron James John

On August 20, 2023 Theron James John peacefully passed away surrounded by family in Thornton Colorado.

Theron was born on September 28, 1946 to James Clifford John and Verna Lundberg in Tremonton, Utah.

Theron lived his first six years on the family farm in Evans, Utah. He later moved to Pavilion, Wyoming and there he tended the animals and orchards. Theron was involved in many activities in school like playing the trumpet, football, basketball and Future Farmers of America. In 1961 with other students he went to the Wyoming State Fair and won Grand Champion for his South Down Ram Sheep. His family moved to Brigham City, Utah and halfway through his senior year they moved to Rockford, Idaho and he graduated from Snake River High School in 1964.

November 6, 1965 Theron and Linda Munson got married in Roy, Utah. They welcomed six children Rachelle, Trent, Brandon, Ashlie, Travis and Nicole. Theron loved his children. As his children got older and married he welcomed his in-law children as his own. Theron loved the outdoors, camping, four wheeling and hunting. He passed this passion to his children and grandchildren. Theron and Linda divorced in 2002.

In 1973 Theron moved his family to Denver, Colorado to continue his career and he remained in Colorado the remainder of his life. In Theron’s career he started many of his own businesses to help clean waste water. Theron continued to be a businessman up until the day of his passing.

Later in life Theron became a grandpa and great grandpa. His grandchildren became the loves of his life.He was the best grandpa he could be to each one of them.  The legacy he leaves behind is something he has always been proud of.

Theron is survived by his children Rachelle (Roger Holyoak), Trent John, Brandon John, Ashlie (Adrian Hampson), Travis John, Nicole (Mike Fink) and siblings Eunice Hight and Floyd John.

Theron was preceded in death by his parents James Clifford and Verna John, siblings Elaine Andersen, Lloyd John, LaRae Hight, Bryan John and granddaughters Adeline Fink and Zoie Hampson.

Theron has 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will be having a memorial service on October 7, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 100 Malley Drive Northglenn, Colorado 80233 at 2:00 pm.
