Tanya Mayden

Tanya Marie Mayden, 45, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Morrison, Colorado. Memorial services and reception will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Waterstone Community Church, Littleton, Colorado with Pastor Ronnie Johnson of Red Rocks Church, officiating.

Tanya was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 4, 1971. She was the fourth child of Howard Mayden and Gerhild Baumann-Mayden. She attended school in Kaiserslautern, Germany and graduated from Kaiserslautern American High School. Tanya lived most of her adolescent years in Germany, returning to the United States in 1991. Tanya was a long time resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado and lived the last 11 years in the Denver Metropolitan area. Tanya worked in the Registrar's Office for Westwood College in Denver, Colorado for eight years. She most recently worked at Denver School of Nursing. Tanya was also a Certified NASM Personal Fitness Trainer.

Tanya was a longstanding and most dearly revered member of It Burns Joe Fitness at Red Rocks. She was also a member of Red Rocks Church in Littleton, Colorado. Tanya enjoyed hiking, biking, working out, yoga and many other fitness related activities. She was an accomplished singer and enjoyed karaoke as well as performing live. Tanya was a devout advocate for healthy clean living, and happily shared her knowledge and encouragement with anyone who asked. She was a beautiful social butterfly and spread her love, kindness and knowledge everywhere she went. Tanya's hobbies included eating organic dark chocolate and sampling from the bulk bins at Whole Foods.

Tanya is preceded in death by her father Howard E. Mayden, nephew A'lan Mayden, and Cousin Jason (Linda) Toney.

Tanya is survived by her mother Gerhild Baumann-Mayden, brothers Stefan (Kim) Mayden, Patrick (Stacey) Mayden, Mark (Maricela Rodriguez) Mayden, and sisters Tricia (Bryan) Anderson, Annie Beechum, nephews Aaron Mayden, Jacob Mayden, Tyler Mayden , Joshua Mayden and nieces, Chloe (Tim) Leo, Julieanne Mayden, Olivia Mayden, Falynn Anderson, Skylar Mayden, cherished friends Eric (Bonnie) Ennis, Amy Payne, Allison Taylor, and countless more special friends.
