Suzanne Mooney

Suzanne Mooney, age 83, of Littleton, CO passed away peacefully in her home, rosary in hand, with loving family by her side on November 24, 2017.

Suzanne was born on February 9th, 1935 in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Georgia Schudy.

Suzanne married the love of her life, Wayne Alan Mooney, on October 4th, 1955. They settled in Colorado where they raised their 5 children and were beloved members of Valley Country Club, a home away from home.

A devout and adored mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Suzanne loved without condition. As the matriarch of her family for more than 25 years, she instilled a legacy of compassion, humor, acceptance, and conviction. She will be missed by generations of family.

She is survived by her children: Robin Dobbs (Mike), Mike Mooney, Scott Mooney (Courtney), Pat Mooney (Susan), and Dirck Mooney; grandchildren: Erin Livingston (Dan), Suzanne McFarland (Chris), Kate Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, Alex Mooney, Saryn Mooney, Lincoln Mooney, Ross Mooney, Fletcher Mooney, and Max Mooney; great-grandchildren: William Livingston, Vivienne Livingston and Decker McFarland; sister: Dona Schudy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.A. Mooney, her parents, Frank and Georgia, and brothers, Robin and Francis (Kayo).

A celebration of life will be planned for after the first of the year. Suzanne supported the charity Tall Tales Ranch, a ranch in Colorado for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
