Susan (Sue) Joy Warfield

Susan (Sue) Joy Warfield passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025 at her home in Commerce City, Colorado. Sue was born November 10, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sue was 2 years old when her family moved to California. In 1964 the family moved to Fullerton, California where Sue spend many wonderful years.

She is survived by her husband, Normand (Norm) Warfield, son Phillip Wesley Warfield, mother Lula Belle (Lou) Ross, sisters Bonnie Lou Moore, Linda Gay LeDuc and Martha Kay Burns, brother-in-law Rick Warfield, nephews Tony Comstock, Brandon Hulett, Ricky Warfield, Jason Warfield, Stevie Coffman, nieces Nicole Daeschner, Tara Burns, Amanda Comstock, Amber Bailey, Michelle McKenzie, Jackie Krumwide and Kimmy Coffman.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Clayton (Bill) Wesley Ross, brother Michael Steven Ross, brother-in-law Ray Burns, brother-in-law Mike LeDuc, mother-in-law Patricia (Pat) Anne Gibson, father-in-law Phillip Ray Gibson.

Norm and Sue met when Sue was 17. They have been inseparable ever since. Sue and Norm have had many wonderful experiences in their time together but two very important events was their double wedding with Kay (Sue’s sister) and Ray on September 1, 1985 and the birth of their son Phillip Wesley Warfield on December 18, 1989. 

Sue, Norm and Phillip lived in Mission Viejo, CA for 19 years. In August 2013 they moved to the local mountains, Big Bear City. In May 2018 they moved to Grand Prairie, Texas and then migrated to Commerce City, CO in 2019. Since moving to CO Sue and Norm have been having fun taking road trips to Mt Rushmore, all over the state of Florida, and enjoy exploring all the great places that surround Denver. They have season passes to a local ski resort and have spent many happy times skiing 2 or 3 times a week.

Sue has requested that her ashes be scattered in the ocean so a memorial service will be held sometime in the future.
