Stuart Baukema

Stuart (Stu) Baukema, age 72, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 9th 2017. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Margretta (Peggy LaFleur); his loving children, Craig & Renae Baukema, Cindy & Pat Hayes, and Jackie & Mike Worden; his five cherished grandchildren, Austin and Alexa Worden, and Bri, Nate and Cory Hayes; and his two brothers John Baukema and Henry (Judi) Baukema. He joins his parents Samuel and Henrietta and his brother Richard in Glory. Stu was born in Paterson, NJ, lived in Wycoff and went to Eastern Christian School until he married his high school sweetheart and moved to Denver, CO. There he was a volunteer fireman, did custom wood working and later worked for his son in his company Classic Heating and Air Conditioning. He spent most of his time with his family, woodworking and in Bible Studies. After a long painful illness, he died peacefully at home with his family by his side. Services were held at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, CO in his loving memory.
