Steven Ferris

February 3, 1952 — March 13, 2014

Steve was born February 3, 1952 in Denver, CO, third child to Lee and Phyllis Ferris. He was always referred to as the "baby" of the family. As a child he grew up living in Colorado and California.
He met and married his High School sweetheart Cora Puls February 8th, 1969. They soon were parents of a beautiful baby girl, Shannon Lee. Three years later they welcomed "handsome" baby boy Shane Linn into the world. In his teen years, he was a master glazier and began his own successful glass business in his early twenties.

After being divorced in 1986, he met and began dating Candy VanDeWater. Soon after Candy and her daughter Jennifer became a permanent part of his family.

As a child he learned the hardwood floor trade from his dad and in 1995 he opened and operated Mile High Hardwood for many years.

His greatest joys in life were family get togethers and watching his seven grandchildren grow.
Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sporting clays and playing cards with family and friends.
His two favorite vacations were fishing trips to Alaska with step-father Hugh and brother Terry and to Canada with his dad and brother.

Steve was known for his unique sense of humor and for being ornery. For example he would pour a glass of cold water over your head during a hot shower. And he would ask you to get him a glass of water "victim" unaware of the rubber band that he had placed on the sprayer handle, thus getting sprayed right in the face. Unexpectedly and too soon he left our lives on March 13, 2014.

Memorial Service, Saturday, March 22, 2014, 11:00am, Victory Fellowship, 4200 S. Acoma Street in Englewood, CO

He was preceded in death by Mother-Phyllis, Stepfather-Hugh, Sister-Tanna, Grandson-Colby, Nephew-Johnny and several other family members.
