Stephen Zornes

Born March 19th, 1961 in Denver, CO passed away Tuesday, November 20th 2018. God took him peacefully in his sleep in his home located in Northglenn, CO. Stephen was raised by Donald and Constance Zornes and had 3 siblings, Donald Jr., Melissa and Darin. Stephen also known as Steve, Scott or Scooter was a jack of all trades, loved working with his hands building or remodeling, as long as Coor's light and Jim Beam was involved. He loved motorcycles, trucks, fishing, camping, online golfing and family. Stephen was known for cooking steaks on the grill and creating the best BBQ'd foods ever! Stephen loved old country music, his cowboy hat and collecting anything he could get his hands on. Stephen was the guy you called when your car broke down, when your kid put a hole in the wall or flushed something strange down the toilet or when you just needed to talk. After losing his brother and mom in a 4 month span, Stephen moved in with his sister where he struggled with his health. Stephen was a closed off, quirky individual but to those of us blessed to have been around him he was that quiet shining star, your shoulder to cry on and a man with integrity. Stephen was a man with pride, that sometimes got in his way, stubborn as hell but truly one of the kindest people you would ever know.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Zornes Sr. and Constance Zornes; and brothers, Donald Zornes Jr. and Ronald Coughlin.

He is survived by his brother, Darin; sister, Melissa; nieces, Kelli, Heather, Christina, and Jillian; nephew, Jason; great nieces, Alexyia, Kaylee, Analeice, Autumn, Justine, Maria, and Addison; great nephews, Tylor, Zach, Jax, Levi, Isaih, Chase, Joseph and Scott Jr.; great great nieces, Avryn and Augustina; children, Stephen, Candace, and Matt; grand children, Brandon, Miguel, Linda, Bryan, Domanic, Raymond, Shane, and Sarah; and great granddaughter, Jazmin.

The family will be having a church service December 1st, 2018 @ 1pm at New Hope Christian Church 8992 Washington Street, Thornton CO 80229. Immediately following the service there will be a Celebration of life gathering. Please see family for location.
