Stephen Breeding

Stephen Ray Breeding, age 66, passed away on January 14, 2023 from complications after back surgery.

Steve was born in Munich, Germany on September 9, 1956 to the late (retired) CSM Bob and Janelle(nee Ankenbauer) Breeding. They were

assigned to Ft. Campbell and moved to Clarksville, TN in 1958, where Steve graduated from Clarksville High School

in 1975.

He moved to Nashville, TN in 1983 to work for the TN Department of Corrections and met his future wife, Cathie Carson, who was

working as a nurse for the TDOC. It was always fun to tell people we met in prison.  He later went to work for the Davidson

County Sheriff's Office, and retired after 26 years of employment.

During their 37 years of marriage they  became the parents of Patricia and Taylor.

He is also survived by numerous cousins, and  Aunts, Dot, Peggy and Frances. He is also survived by his best friend of 60

years, Jeff Wood, of Ohio. Also a half-sister, Amy Rutherford and nephew, Granville.

Steve was cremated  and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Select Specialty

Hospital West, for the outstanding and compassionate care given to Steve in the last weeks of his life.
