Shirley Jean Cline

Shirley Cline, of Lakewood Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023, at the age of 90.  Loving wife of Robert (Bob) Cline, mother of Lisa Derks (Kevin) and Lori Pufahl.

Shirley was born April 29, 1933 in Afton Iowa, to Carl and Mary Ruckman.  She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Afton High School.  Shirley and Bob met at the Chicken Inn in Creston Iowa and were life long dance partners.  After marrying in 1957, they moved to Chicago, Los Angeles and Aspen CO before settling in Lakewood, where she stayed for another 50 years.

Shirley will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother, wife and devoted friend.  She enjoyed her sweet dog Dexter, dancing, music, gardening, traveling, the mountains, walking around Kendrick Lake, and visiting with her neighbors.  Her extended family and lifelong friends meant the world to her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bob (2004), parents Carl and Mary Ruckman, and sister Virginia.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Lisa and Lori, sister- in- law Jean Green, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held for Shirley in Spring 2024.
