Sherry Marsalis

Sherry Hall Marsalis, age 70, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018, at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital. She fought a hard battle against heart and kidney disease. She was born in Charleston, Mississippi, on June 15, 1948, to Paul and Irene Hall. Sherry was loved by everyone that came into contact with her. Sherry had a contagious personality that was loved and admired by all.

Sherry married John C. Marsalis in 1968. John and Sherry met during their educational careers and had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 20, 2018. She is survived by her husband, John C; her daughter, Susan (Shawn) Clarke; her son, John Thomas (Susan) and their two children (Hannah and Harrison); her sister, Barbara (Duster) Covington (Kenneth); and numerous nieces and nephews. She embraced life with grace, including her position as City Recorder of the City of Eagleville, TN.

Sherry and her loving husband, John, travelled many times to India to celebrate her Hindu religion. She was very devout and loyal to the faith. She will be greatly missed by all. To the people whose lives were touched by Sherry, we ask that you come celebrate and honor her life with her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.
