Sharon Martinez

Our loving mother Sharon Lee Martinez, 63, of Aurora, Colorado lost her battle with lung cancer on August 18, 2015. She passed away at home, peacefully in her sleep. Sharon is in better hands now with the Lord and His unfailing love.

Sharon loved music. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and dancing. Some of her favorite activities included traveling, going for long walks, and playing tennis. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, baking, and cooking. She was an awesome cook! A few of her notable characteristics were her intelligence, determination, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent spirit.

Ultimately, Sharon was super woman and courageous throughout her life, touching many hearts along the way. Not only was she was a sweet lady; she was also beautiful inside and out. Sharon's family was very important to her. She relished spending time and laughing with them. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Lisa and Amy, her son Matthew, and her grandchildren; Jacquae, Jazmine, Gabriel, and Matthew David. She will be greatly missed. Services will be private.

Special thanks to the staff at Kaiser Permanente in East Denver and their oncology and palliative care staff in Lone Tree. Additionally, the family would like to sincerely thank those who have shared their concern, thoughts, prayers, and messages of condolence. We appreciate your outpouring of love and support.
