Sharon Marie Lee, age 79, of Edgewater, Colorado was involved in an automobile accident and succumbed to her injuries on April 24th, 2020 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood Colorado.
She is survived by her devoted and loving partner Jane Lehtinen: her siblings Delmar Lee; Ronnie Lee; Marian Long; Diana Greene, Paul Lee, and Carl Lee; her numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces, notably her dedicated niece Sandy Lee who assisted in her care in her final years; and her only child Tina Marie. She is preceded in death by many family members whom she loved so dearly.
Sharon was born in Tacoma Washington on September 15th, 1940. She lived most of her life in Washington State and moved to Colorado in June 2016.
She had fond memories playing softball with the Lavender Menace. She enjoyed and was good at working with her hands, specifically being a printer technician, a handywoman, and working on cars. Fishing was her passionate hobby and she went often in the last 4 years in Colorado with her partner Jane and her niece Sandy. You could find her in front of the television on every football day, watching and commenting on all the teams, and always rooting for her favorite Seattle Seahawks and her "Mr. Wilson". She loved the beautiful ride through the canyon on her way up to a small gambling town, Blackhawk Colorado, where she played the slots and dreamed of winning big. She adored all animals, donated to animal charities, and doted on her fur babies. Her favorite things were the color purple, carnation flowers, the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, lemonade and lemon flavored anything, cheesecake and other sweets, watching game shows and The Voice, tuna fish sandwiches, motorcycles and fast cars, a good ribeye with baked potato, singers Celine Dion and Rod Stewart, and band The Mavericks. She enjoyed the happiest years of her life with her partner Jane whom she loved so deeply. She was an honest person that would tell it like it is without filtering. She loved being bold and surprising people with her silly and sometimes naughty banter. She was funny. She was also stubborn which usually worked in her favor. She never conformed to societal expectations and was always true to herself. She knew how and did provide true love and showed care to anyone who needed emotional support who were struggling. The world will never know another person like her. She loved and cared for everyone, without judgement, unconditionally. We will all sorely miss her.
Sharon's cremated remains will be scattered per her request near a river in Blackhawk Colorado.
