Sally Kenz

Sally A. Kenz (formally Sally Goebel, maiden name Sally Ann St John) died 11/23/18 at the age of 87 years. She is survived by Ed Kenz her husband, Chick St John her brother, Rick Goebel her son, and Jane Lahre her daughter. She was born in 1931 in Kearney Nebraska and moved to Denver when she was 8 years old. They lived in the DU area and she attended South High School and then graduated from Stanford University with a degree in History.

Sally married Doug Goebel in 1954 and then had Rick and Jane, living on East Harvard Lane near Dahlia and Yale. They built a house at 2556 S Leyden St in 1967. She was a great mother and homemaker and loved hiking, skiing and camping in the Colorado Mountains! She loved travel and has been all over the world. Always positive and loving, her strong faith in God directed her life and actions. Doug died in 1995 and Sally married Ed Kenz in 1998. They have shared many wonderful years together.

She is deeply missed, and we are all recalling what she contributed to our lives! We know God will bless her beyond our wildest dreams now.

The memorial services will be held at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, 10150 E Belleview Ave, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, 303-779-9909 on Dec 8th at 1 p.m. with a reception following at the church. Any contributions can be made to the church.
