Sallie Westbrook

Sallie Mae (Sommer) Westbrook died from cancer on January 18, 2017 at the age of 63 in Aurora, Colorado. Sallie was born in Denver and graduated from Cherry Creek High School and attended Ft. Lewis College in Durango. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother of four, spending countless hours encouraging her family and others. She enjoyed rescuing dogs, sewing and gardening. Sallie was hard-working and generous, with a positive attitude and gentle spirit. Sallie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Gary and their four children, Jeff, Danny, Kari and Josh as well as her sisters, Chris Amo and Susan Solomon, and brother, Dick Sommer. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

An informal memorial service was held at the Westbrook home, 6152 South Yampa St in Aurora on Sunday, January 22 at 1pm. Memorial donations may be made to the leukemia Cancer Society in Sallie's name.
