Ruthie Mae King was born on October 16, 1955 in Missouri. She was the second child and second daughter of Ruth and James Duncan.
Ruthie was known by all for her wild and untamable spirit. She lived her life full of passion and was never afraid to share her opinion. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a fan of NASCAR, and all things Harley Davidson. She enjoyed traveling to Sturgis for the annual bike rally. Ruthie also enjoyed cooking, gardening and crafting, no matter what creative outlet she was working with, it was guaranteed that each dish, flower and stitch was filled with her love for her family.
On the morning of January 30, 2015, Ruthie passed away peacefully at the age of 59 at North Suburban Medical Center in Northglenn, Colorado, surrounded by family and friends.
Ruth Mae King is survived by her three sons: Colby Nickerson and wife Tamara; Justin Nickerson and wife Jen; CJ King and wife Kaylan; her grandchildren Rachel, Rebecca , Logan and Semler; parents Ruth and James Duncan; siblings Linda Hymas, Barbara Duncan-Taylor, William Duncan and Andy Duncan wife Barb, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 100 East Malley Drive, Northglenn, Colorado 80233 .
