Russell Ehlenbeck

Russell "Russ" Ehlenbeck, age 64, passed away on July 29, 2015 at the Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Denver, Colorado after battling esophageal cancer.

Russ was born on February 21, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Denver in 1981 and worked in the information systems industry for Diners Club, Citibank, and U.S. Bank.

Russ is survived by his wife Kim (Vollmar) Ehlenbeck; children Zachary Ehlenbeck and Amanda Ehlenbeck; brothers Chris Ehlenbeck, Bruce Ehlenbeck, and Dan Ehlenbeck; and sister Marlene Ireland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his parents Florence "Sam" and Leonarda "Toots" Ehlenbeck of St. Louis, Missouri.

Russ enjoyed first and foremost his family. He enjoyed playing golf and following his favorite professional sports teams (Broncos, Rockies, and Nuggets). He loved listening to music, going to movies, hiking, camping and traveling. He was known among his family and friends as the life of the party.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00 PM at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80246. Doors will open at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to an open house following the service, starting at 5:30 PM at 21601 E. Rowland Place, Aurora, CO 80016.
