Arvada

Rose Cecelia Twehous, also known as Midge, was born on January 1, 1937, in Denver Colorado.

On the Afternoon of May 21, 2022, Rose Cecelia Twehous passed away at the age of 85.

Rose grew up in Denver, Colorado as one of six children.   She was studying to be a Nun in the Catholic Church, but her plans changed when she met the love of her life, Omer Twehous.  They were married for 59 years. She was a homemaker and mother of two.

She loved cooking, baking, decorating cakes, bingo, bowling, sports, camping, fishing, card games, family gatherings, and performing all the wonderful duties (honors) of being the most spectacular mother and grandmother ever.  She was an exceptional caregiver, coach, mentor and an all-around great gal. She was known for her fried chicken, porkchops, and the best grape jelly ever made. She touched many people’s lives, and she will be sorely missed. She was the best wife, mother, grandma, aunt and friend anyone could ever hope for. We are truly blessed to have had her in our lives.

Rose is preceded in death by her Husband Omer A. Twehous; Parents, Michael A. & Agnes C. Wanczyk; Brother Joe L. Wanczyk, Sisters Betty J. Bauer, Josephine M. Ferriter, A. Theresa Capra; Sister-in-laws Rose Vacha and Venita Wobken; Brother-in-laws Francis, Leander, Virgil, Bill, and Gene Twehous; Half Brother Mark C. Wanczyk; and several In-Laws, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.

She is survived by her favorite son & daughter-in-law, Edward J. & Robin R. Twehous; her favorite daughter & son-in-law, Donna T. & Mark P. Coates; her wonderful grandchildren Marcus A., Jessica L., and Stephanie L. Coates, Sean A. Foster (Shelby); her great granddaughters Jaydyn G. and Logan G. Foster; her younger sister, Mary M.
