Mr. Ronald Paul Vignon, born on October 13, 1929 in Salem, Ohio, to the late Paul Vignon and Ethel Kaufman, passed away at age 92 on April 30, 2022 in Hermitage, Tennessee. After graduation from high school, Ron enlisted as a cook in the United States Air Force. He was a Korean War Veteran and honorably discharged from the Service in 1960. Ron was then employed as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office for 22 years before he retired. He was preceded in death in 2018 by his wife of 66 years, the former Joyce Ann Shive. Ronald is survived by his sons and their wives, Jerry (Rilla) Vignon and John (San San) Vignon; sister, Phyllis Hardwick; stepsister Jo Herron; grandchildren, Regan Peters, Travis Vignon, Rudy Vignon, and J.T. Vignon; and great-grandchildren, Aric, Kellyn, Ella, and Henry. Ron had a lifelong relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and was active in church throughout his life, including serving as Elder in the Scottville Church of Christ, Scottville, Michigan. He also enjoyed being the Scout Master of Troop 2 of the Buckeye Council, sponsored by First Christian Church in Canton, Ohio. Ron enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and stamp collecting, especially in his retirement years. Burial will be at the Camp Highroad EcoEternity Forest alongside his beloved wife.
