Robert was born on March 1, 1964, in Denver, Colorado the sixth child of Bessie and Willie Trujillo. Bobby found his life partner, Christopher Chavez in 2002 and they married on January 7, 2020 @ 2:27 p.m.
Bobby was a prankster and loved to laugh, crack jokes (often he thought they were funnier than they were), dance, sing, cook and live life to the fullest. If you were out with Bobby, you would have a good time. Bobby also loved his cat of 17 years, Zena.
Bobby was also a hard worker. He began working at the corner store at a young age. He worked at several other grocery stores such as FBC Foods, King Soopers, Save-a-Lot and Walmart. He bussed tables at Village Inn, he was a baker at Costco and opened his own bar restaurant. But, by far his favorite and longest lasting job was when he worked at Evergreen Specialties and shared his Christmas talents with everyone. Unfortunately, he had to go on disability, but he always made burritos and tamales on the side.
Bobby was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his husband, Christopher Chavez, mother, Bessie Trujillo, brothers, Rudy (Diana) Trujillo, Ralph (Michelle) Trujillo, Ron (Renee) Trujillo and his sisters, Cathy Vigil, Margie (John) MacBride, Sharon (Tommy Gomez) Trujillo, and Helen Trujillo. His brother, Ralph, was also his confirmation sponsor. Bobby was the proud uncle of 23 nieces and nephews and 27 great-nieces and nephews. Bobby never had children of his own, but he was the proud godfather to Adriana Chavez, Adelia MacBride, Gabriel Vigil, Rodney Valdez, Thomas Gomez, Jerome Gomez, and Vincent Gomez. In addition to his godchildren, he fostered a young teenager named TJ Yoshimura. His namesake is Robert Valdez. He was always considered to be the “Fun” uncle. Bobby is predeceased by his dad, Willie Trujillo. He will be missed by so many.
