Robert Young

Our brother, Robert Jeffrey Young, age 54, fondly known to all as Jeff or Younger, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

Jeff was the youngest of four children, born June 13, 1968, to Robert Young Jr. and Margaret Young.  Surviving siblings include Nancy Gauntt, Linda Richardson and Gregory Young.  Jeff grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and later attended college at Colorado Springs University, and loved playing hockey.  He chose to make Colorado his home, as Jeff was known for his adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors.  Jeff was an independent soul who marched to the beat of his own drum, often venturing out on his own. Though he faced obstacles, he remained resilient and steadfast to himself, those he loved, and valued their support and love.

In his later years, it was clear that Jeff had worked hard to turn his life around. His health however, had taken a toll on his caring heart, emotionally and physically, and ultimately he departed from the health struggles he endured.  To those loved ones he left behind, Jeff left us much too early.  We do however, celebrate that he is released from his physical pain.

Jeff will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, love of nature, love for dogs and an unwavering independence.  We’re grateful he is now with the two he has missed most, his mother and father.
