Richard Martinez

Richard Martinez, 74 of Denver, Colorado, passed away October 11, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with illness.

Born in Greeley, Colorado on February 8, 1939 to Virgil and Nellie Martinez. Richard graduated from Pine Bluffs High School in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming in 1958. Richard started driving trucks at the age of fifteen and continued to work as a long and short haul trucker for over five decades. At one time he was an independent trucker and worked for himself. Richard was an avid fisherman and lifetime fan of the Denver Broncos.

Richard is survived by, Ann Martinez, his best friend and loving wife of thirty five years as well as seven siblings, five children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 12-4 PM at Westminster Elks Lodge, 3850 Elk Drive, Westminster, CO 80030.
