Richard Jalbert

January 30, 1939 — December 10, 2016

Richard "Dick" Jalbert took his "dirt nap" 12-10-2016 in his home in Loveland, Colorado surrounded by his family. Dick, born in Providence, Rhode Island, served our country proudly as a marine. He lived the majority of his life in California as a baker, but moved to Colorado in 2000. Dick was a very hard worker, putting in very long hours to support his family, friends and others in need. Over the years, he touched the lives of, and helped many people who affectionately called him "Pops". His first wife, Darlene, went on before him and I'm sure was waiting when he decided to show up on the other side. He even continued to care for his second wife, Elaine, whom he was divorced from, because she was having medical issues and could not care for herself. On those occasions when he was not thinking of others, Dick loved to go to Black Hawk for a bit of Keno, or find a quiet spot to do some fishing. He also loved Football and cheesecake. His robust personality and quick one liners will be truly missed and, no doubt, repeated by those that knew him. He is survived by children who adored him, grandchildren who think he was a silly, crazy old man, siblings who miss him, an ex-wife who still called him Daddy Man, and numerous others who had the privilege to get to know him.
