Ricardo Delatorre

July 21, 1942 — September 12, 2016

Ricardo J. Delatorre, 74 of Lakewood, Colorado went to be with The Lord on September 12, 2016, after his long battle with pancreatic cancer. Ricardo was born in El Paso, Texas on July 21, 1942. At the the early age of 14, he learned the trade of carpet installation, and worked as one of the best carpet installers, taking much pride in his work. He married our mom, Leticia on March 14, 1974 when they moved to Denver, Colorado. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved every opportunity he had to have family gatherings. He loved to take Mom out dancing regularly, it was their favorite thing to do!
Ricardo is survived by his loving wife, sons Henry (Lupe) Delatorre of El Paso, TX, Carlos (Carol) Delatorre of Littleton, CO, daughters Patricia (Stephen) Townsend of Lakewood, CO and Laura (Ernesto) Villalba of Alamosa, CO. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren Michael (Diana), Erika (Joe), Henry Jr. (Leticia), Serina, Josalyn, Carlos Jr., Brayden, Marcus, Selena, Mario and Jayzen (plus one more on the way) and 5 great grandchildren Fernando, Zoey, Joey, Anthony, and Tony (plus one more on the way).
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Ricardo will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12:00pm at Iglesia Centro de Alabanza (1590 S. Federal Blvd).

Reception immediately following Memorial Service at Brissmax Event Center, 5025 Morrison Road, Denver, CO 80219.

Balloon release to follow as well as a lunch, please join us in remembrance.
