Rhonda Stevens

Rhonda Taylor-Fishman-Stevens passed away at the age of 63 on February 24, 2017, in Littleton, Colorado. She passed peacefully in her sleep.

Rhonda was born on August 14, 1953, in Niagara Falls, New York to Clarence (Sonny) and Clara (Eileen) Stevens. She grew up with a number of siblings: Bruce Stevens (Cinthia), Deborah Spalding (Mark), Gerald Stevens (Dr. Krystina Finley), Matthew Stevens (Monica). She spent her early years in Niagara Falls. Rhonda and her two siblings, Bruce and Deborah, spent many hours sharing family life with their grandparents, Pearl Stevens and Elizabeth and Wilber Wilcox, many aunts, uncles and cousins. When Rhonda was seven, the family moved to Southern California. Rhonda began a new journey there. There were many fond memories of this adventurous cross country trip. This was the beginning of Rhonda's adventurous side. During her school years, she was always on the honor roll, and won The California State Spelling Bee at the age of 8. While a student at Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley, CA, Rhonda also attended Cosmetology School and worked part-time at Woolworth's soda fountain. She was seventeen upon receiving both her High School Diploma and her Cosmetology License in 1970.

Rhonda married John Taylor in 1971 and had two boys, Jeremy and Joshua. John enlisted in the Army and Rhonda followed him to Korea and then to Tacoma, Washington in 1972 where they had Jeremy. They returned to Southern California and there they welcomed Joshua into the family. Rhonda and the boys moved to Colorado in 1980 where she pursued her very successful career in Real Estate. She was a realtor, broker and owned her own business with her second husband, Glenn Fishman. Glenn and Rhonda raised the boys together in Highlands Ranch.

Rhonda's most cherished passions were being with her family and sharing the Lord. Rhonda also loved fishing, skydiving, para-sailing, scuba diving and enjoyed cruises and even went to Alaska and ran dogs in the Ididarod.

Rhonda is survived by her parents, Sonny and Eileen, her three brothers, Bruce, Gerald and Matthew and her sister Deborah- Her two children, Jeremy Taylor (Julie) and Joshua- and her two grandchildren, Alec and Ty. Eight nephews, six nieces, eight great nephews, six great nieces.
