Reta O'Rear

Reta Marie O'Rear (nee Clark), age 74, died at home in Littleton, Colorado, on September 15, 2022, from natural causes.

Reta was born on June 9, 1948, in Kissimmee, Florida.  She lived in Florida until age 7, after which she moved to California, living in Lancaster for 34 years and then Poway for 11 years.  She lived the remainder of her 22 years in suburbs of Denver, Colorado.  Reta was the first of her nuclear family to graduate high school; she worked primarily as an administrator in the medical field.  She was married to Christopher O'Rear from 1970 to 1982, from which two children were born, Teejay Alexander and Melinda Elizabeth.  She was a gifted seamstress, loved nature (especially massive trees such as redwoods), enjoyed mystery novels and television shows, and delighted in traveling to exotic locales such as Costa Rica and Bali.  She took great comfort in her pets: a cat, Tommy; and three dogs, Clancey, Gracey, and Angel.  Elvis Presley was her lifetime love.

Survivors include Reta's daughter (Melinda Elizabeth Ball of Englewood, CO) and son (Teejay, of Davis, CA), and Melinda's two children, Connor and Kaden, of Englewood, CO. Reta was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Floyd Clark, and her parents, Louis Milton and Marie May Clark.
