Raymond Francis Zale, 80, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on January 9, 2013.
Mr Zale was born in Gary, Indiana, to Joseph and Frances Zale.
He graduated from University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree. He was a national collegiate champion in boxing. Mr Zale was an officer in the Navy, and was stationed in Hawaii for several years.
He loved sports and enjoyed mentoring young boxers in East Chicago and Hammond Indiana... He enjoyed his family and traveling around the world. He enjoyed his friends and loved to entertain.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica, daughters Diana and Debbie and son-in law, Lawrence Scicluna, granddaughters, Ashley and Heather. Beloved siblings, brothers Joseph, Gene, Ted and their families, Sister Lucille Isak and family, Sister-in law, Arlene Jager and family, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother Bernard Zale.
He will be laid to rest Friday, January 18th, 2013, 12:30pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd. in Denver Colorado. Area "B"
