Raymond Kava, Jr.

Raymond Leo Kava Jr., born December 5, 1954; entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 22, 2015.

Survived by his loving wife, Holly. His sisters Linda Hawkes and her husband Mike, Jeannie Marine and her husband Ray, Kimberly Johnston and her husband Bill and brother Joseph ( Jo-Jo) Thurston, all of Colorado along with his sister Linda Huntsman and her husband Gary of Texas. Raymond was proud to claim 2 very special young men as his step-sons Joshua Hart of Florida and Bobby Butler of Colorado. From a very large family Raymond was blessed to have Aunt Sally Bustam and Uncle Frank and his wife Aunt Jane Bustam of Colorado. They, as well as his many nieces, nephews and many cousins are the people Raymond loved so dearly but had to leave behind so he could be a spiritual guide for them as they are called by God to His Kingdom.

Raymond left his wonderful spirit with every person he met. He never turned down someone in need. He served our country as a member of the brave United States Army. He loved camping and long talks by the firelight. He loved sunrises and sunsets and especially thunderstorms. He simply loved life and fought so valiantly to stay with us. If Raymond touched your life, you never forgot him. He loved to sing and had the voice of an angel. Now he is with the many family members that proceeded him in death. We all know he is out of pain and keeping us safe as he waits to see us again when we are called into God's kingdom.

Thank you Raymond for the unconditional love, for the long walks and talks. For the family you shared with so many of us. For the laughter and for just being you. Your kind soul will be missed but soon we will all be together.

Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 10:00 am at the Horan & McConaty Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80246.

Interment will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 12:15 pm, Staging Area "C", at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80236.
