Ray was born on March 16, 1958 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Ramon and Carmen Salazar. Ray was raised in Denver, Colorado with his two sisters and one brother. Ray met his wife Mabel in 1976, and they were married in 1978. From their union, they raised three children, Tamara, Ryan and Paula and one grandchild, Felipe.

Ray is survived by his wife Mabel, son Ryan (Ami) Salazar, daughter Paula (Carlos) Ramirez, daughter in-law Leslie Crisostomo. His grandchildren Gabriel, Ariana, Giovanni and great grandchildren Leilani and Andres. His sisters Isabel (John) Garcia, Marlene Salazar and brother George Salazar. His mother in-law, Ida, brother in-laws Lavoy Abila, Mitch (Veronica) Abila, Levy (Nancy) Abila and sister in-laws Susan (Mark) Whitworth, Donnie Sisneros, Jeannie (Reyes) Vasquez, Bonnie (Dave) Gonzales and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray’s presence will be missed by everyone he knew. His love for his family was immeasurable and loved to surround himself with family and friends.
