R Evans

Dennis Evans of Aurora, Colorado passed away on January 2, 2019. Denny was born on July 7, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Richard and Valerie Evans.

Denny is survived by his wife, Susan, and four children as well as two step children. Denny's children are Scott(Brenda), Mickey(Jennifer), Amy(Steve), and Patrick(Renee) all residing in California at this time. His step children are Michael(Peng) of New Jersey and Chris(Susan) of Colorado. Denny is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Sean, Cole, Paige, Hannah, Madelyn, Kora, Caleb, Liam, Lukas, Jaxon, and Grace.

While still a young boy, the family of three moved to Hammond Indiana where they would remain through Denny's high school years. Raised and educated within the Catholic faith, he always looked back fondly at his Catholic education.

A big part of Denny's life centered around playing sports with friends and family. His love for challenging himself around sports began at a young age. Denny's father was passionate about boating and water skiing. Around the age of six, Denny Sr began taking his son out for glorious days on the water. Father and son honed their skills until the pair started entering local water ski races and performing in shows doing all sorts of stunt tricks behind their powerful lake boats.

Denny always took joy in sports and was a good athlete in high school and college. Besides water skiing, he competed in baseball, basketball, and swimming. Later in life, he and Sue could often be found on the golf course, cruising down the slopes, or just enjoying the burn of a good workout at the club.

Looking back to his college days, Denny began learning the value of an honest day's work at TriCity Steel Mills. This being Northern Indiana, the mills were the big employers and Denny never shied away from a hard day of work. He always seemed most content when he had a big job to do and relished in the opportunity to do something to make life a little better for his family. Denny graduated with a Marketing degree from St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana.

One of Denny's earliest jobs was in sales for the Schlitz Brewing Company. One family momento held dear is a picture of Denny throwing an opening pitch at a triple A baseball game with his name on a giant scoreboard in the background. Denny continued on his sales path to work for Miller Brewing Company. Before leaving the beverage industry, he would become a regional sales manager. In his later years Denny began his own handyman service. Denny will be missed greatly by his loving family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church at 18000 E. Arapahoe Rd. Foxfield, CO 80016.
