Peter A Hillier was called home to a place of peace on Sunday February 11, 2018. Born June 20, 1941 to Raymond and Wilhermina Hillier. Pete, to all that knew him, was a bigger than life personality who had an even bigger heart. His passion for landscaping was seen by all who viewed his yards and saw him diligently working outside without his shirt. He adored being in the sun, the beach, traveling, cracking jokes, his beloved dogs, vodka tonics and would never hesitate to have a cinnamon bun with tons of butter. He married Nancy in 1966 after meeting on the beach of their favorite vacation spot, Cape May, NJ. Together they raised 2 loving daughters and Pete was very dedicated to them in every aspect of their lives. He was so proud of his seven grandchildren, and would stop for nothing to make sure each one of them was happy. He proudly provided for his family dedicating years of his life working hard in the footwear industry from the age of 14. Pete devoted his entire life to the needs of his family and will continue to influence each one of them today. Pete is survived by his wife, Nancy: brother, Harry (Diana) Hillier and nephews Christopher and Alan Hillier. His daughters, Staci (Jim) Rose and Kristen (Todd) Davis. Along with his grandchildren Jessica, Lindsey, Madeline and Alex Rose, Carter Tatgenhorst, Aliza and Adeline Guido. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 13, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm with vigil service at 7pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday February14, 2018 at noon. Both services will be held at St. Stephen's Catholic Community located 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, TN 37138. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alive Hospice Nashville, TN or Animal Rescue Corps Emergency Shelter in Lebanon, TN in honor of Pete. As Pete would always say, "Keep Smilin”
