Paul Montoya

Paul E. Montoya born December 28, 1938 passed away unexpectedly November 18, 2013. Survived by his wife Toni Montoya and sons, Larry Michelle, Lloyd Sharon, Lonny Cathy, and daughter Christine Larry. Grandchildren, Angela, Brian, Breeanna, Natalie, Erica, Krystyna, Erick, Taryn, Vanessa, Mariah, Alexandria, Paul, and Lawrence. 5 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. Also survived by one brother Lawrence Montoya and one brother-in-law Herman Mares, two sisters-in-law Sally and Gabriela and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Matias and Crecinsia Montoya, sisters Isabel and Julia.

Paul was an avid Bronco fan and car lover. He was born and raised in northeast Denver. He met his wife, Toni when they were just in elementary school, they also lived on the same block on 34th Lawrence St. They started dating September 9, 1955, and were married in 1957. They welcomed four children, all were raised within a few blocks from where he grew up. Family was very important to Paul and there was nothing greater to him then being surrounded by his family. He loved life and the Broncos!

He was hospitalized on Sunday, Nov. 17th for a minor ailment and was scheduled to go home Monday, Nov. 18th. Instead he was called home by God to be our angel and keeps us safe.
