Patrick Joe Untiedt was born October 4, 1953 in Lamar, Colorado. A few months later the family moved to Westminster, Colorado where his father and uncle were home builders. This began his exposure to the construction industry that later became his career. He was a fun-loving and free-spirited kid who would rather be outside with the least amount of clothing as possible and his Stetson hat sitting crooked and slouched on his head. His favorite childhood pet was Buddy the Lamb who often had to be retrieved from elementary school. - he was lover of animals. The family moved to Aurora, Colorado and during high school at Hinkley High, he became a certified underwater diver. Immediately following graduation, he joined the Navy serving four years as an underwater welder. After returning from the Navy he lived in Bristol, Colorado helping on a family farm. In 1977, he returned to Denver to help the family while his father's health was failing. This is where his welding and construction career took off and he worked on major construction projects around the State (including the "cash register building" and Coors Field). We all got a kick out of the times he would be approached by people asking if he was Jimmy Buffett. Pat loved his host of nieces and nephews and was often helping them assemble or fix something. He loved annual family vacations.
He is survived by his mother Faye Untiedt, brother Mike Untiedt (Donna Untiedt, nephew Zachariah and niece Hannah), sister Joella Untiedt (Larry Taylor), sister Penny Isenbart (Ed Isenbart, nieces Aurelia, Micayla, Olivia, Reyna, Sedonia and nephew Von)
Pat was always a man of few words and a gentle-kind soul who would help anyone in need. He will be missed by all.
