Patricia Mary Springer

Patricia “Trisha” Mary Springer, 76, of Aurora, CO, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2025, after being diagnosed with uterine cancer at the end of 2024.

Born on July 7, 1948, in Oak Park, IL, to Rosemary and Robert O’Connor, Trisha dedicated her life to caring for others. She attended nursing school in Lawrence, KS, and went on to have a remarkable career spanning multiple disciplines in nursing. For 30 years, she served as a dedicated nurse at University Hospital in Denver, CO, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and expertise.

Trisha will be remembered as a woman with a boundless capacity for love. She was a patient listener, a steadfast friend, and a source of warmth and comfort to all who knew her. Her homemade scones were legendary, and she firmly believed that a cup of tea with honey and lemon could cure both the common cold and a heavy heart. A devoted reader, she found joy in poetry and Nora Roberts novels.

Above all, Trisha cherished her family. She was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother, finding immense happiness in her five grandchildren—her four grandsons, Alfie, Iver, Nash, and Henry, and her long-awaited granddaughter, Emmory. She delighted in everything about them. Whether playing on the floor, making playdough pizza, or soothing scraped knees with kisses and band-aids, she was happy to be with them.

Trisha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jonathan Patrick Springer. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Schuyler) Drummond and Katie (Jonathan) Bach, as well as her adored grandchildren.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11AM on March 17, 2025 at St. John’s Cathedral, 1350 Washington St, Denver, CO 80213, with a reception to follow at the church.
