Patricia Owens

Owens, Patricia Lee 7/4/42-2/6/18 - Born on the 4th of July in Livingston, KY. She graduated from Lloyd High School in Erlanger, KY and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Kentucky. Pat taught three years in Louisville, KY and then moved to Denver to work at Drake Jr. High where for 28 years she helped to handcraft students' lives. In retirement, she began pet sitting. Friends called her, "St. Francis" for the way birds, squirrels, alley cats, and dogs lovingly responded to her. She will be remembered for her kindness in adversity and the sound of her laughter. She is predeceased by her parents, Edward L. and Emma Rankin Owens. Pat is survived by her sisters Nancy Sue von Richter of Dayton, OH and Barbara Ann (Dr. Robert) Goldstein of La Quinta, CA. A funeral will be held at Regis University Side Chapel 2/24 at 10:00AM.
